It’s been a long time coming and now one Charlotte school has followed our cultural logic to its natural conclusion: no one can be recognized for doing well because no one can be recognized for doing poorly.
The title of valedictorian is being denied to the senior who rightly deserves it because the school does not want to hurt the feelings of other graduates. “I believe the children are our future,” so let’s teach them that mediocrity rules.
