British news source, the Telegraph, reports that historians believe they have discovered King Arthur’s Round Table. You can read the full story here, though I’m not sure why you would want to given that modern historians since the Enlightenment know better than to believe in such fairy tales.
Of course, such a discovery would cause a dilemma for moderns. On the one hand, they claim that King Arthur’s stories cannot be trusted because there is no empirical evidence to support them. On the other hand, having empirical evidence will do no good because the stories are not believed by moderns.
Fortunately for moderns, such dilemmas can go unacknowledged because it ventures too much into the realm of speculation.
