I’m the 1%, Let’s Talk: Peter Schiff to Occupiers

Not one to shy away from confrontation, Peter wades into a crowd of Occupiers in NYC flanked by his large sign that states “I’m the 1%, Let’s Talk”. He asks several simple, straightforward questions, but has a hard time getting straight answers over the shouts of rhetoric.

  1. This is packed with so much economic goodness in just 3 minutes. Since Peter is one of the few people who understands economics enough to have foreseen the economic crisis years before it happened, I’d say he knows what he’s talking about.

    The woman’s idea that Peter “should want to share his success” as she puts it really just means he should love paying more in taxes. In reality, he’s helping the economy by providing employment for a lot of people, but that doesn’t meet her definition of ‘sharing success.’
