End This War

  1. There are times I really miss the 60’s. Joan Baez, Peter, Paul, and Mary. Bob Dylan, Blowing in the Wind, and college students who cared enough to protest stupid wars instead the lack of government supplied free stuff…

  2. 767 Captain,

Oh what the world would be like if the theme song of those college students had been heeded:

    Imagine there’s no heaven
    It’s easy if you try
    No hell below us
    Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today

    Imagine there’s no countries
    It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
    And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace

    You, you may say
I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one
I hope some day you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

    Imagine no possessions
    I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
    A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world

    You, you may say
I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one
I hope some day you’ll join us
And the world will live as one

Just poking a little fun at the idea that those college students were bastians of wisdom:) Consequently, many of those protesting “patriots” wound up teaching our children in the public education system. They not only “imagined” Socialism, they went on to practice it. (Generalization acknowledged)
